Chibi Primarina

 

Commentary:

Alright if you have read my opinion about the other Pokemon in this evolution line, you are probably expecting me to bash this Pokemon. Well... I did hate this Pokemon AT FIRST. It just didn't seem like a Pokemon and one I would quickly forget. But as time moved on this Pokemon started to grow on me. It is not one of my favorite Pokemon but it seems to have moved to the more acceptable category in my tier list (if I were to create a tier list). The design is simple as it is a combination of a sea lion and a mermaid, it has a rare typing of water and fairy, and lastly I remember using it a couple of times in showdown and it can be a decent specially defensive wall. The only thing that kind of bugs me is: how is the gender ratio  87.5% male to 12.5% female. I feel like for this Pokemon in particular it should be the other way around. But hey that's just my opinion.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, unlike Brionne, Primarina is mainly a singer. Primarina still uses its water balloon to attack but it controls it through singing. This makes song Primarina's choice of attack and providing daily maintenance throat is a trainers main priority to keep this Pokemon strong.

1. Primarina is based off a sea lion and mermaid and possesses abilities of a siren. (See compared to its other evolution, quite straightforward design and origins)

Notes: This model is somewhat difficult to build. Refer to the video down below (When I have time😅) if you have any questions not mentioned in the rest of this section. The reason this model is quite difficult to build is because building the hair braids. When making the boxy "S" shape part of the model, first make the two "L" shapes together and allow the glue to dry. Then building like 5 of the white diamond pieces. Why I say about 5 because that is how many I used but you may use less or more depending on how detailed you want this part of the model look. What you do next is glue one of the diamond to the connection area of the hair and then attach the other diamonds around the connection point of the two "L" pieces. Depending on how close you want to place these diamond pieces will determine how many you need to make. Once done, you will then attach the boxy "S" shape to the head and repeat the same process over again. Hopefully this makes sense and leave any questions you have in the comment section below. Chibi Brionne

 

Commentary:

Like Popplio I am still not a big fan about this Pokemon. Instead of having floppy ears, but still having big dog eyes, a mermaid tail is added to the model. So more design items are added making it more congested (in my opinion). Considering it is a middle evolution, it doesn't give it any more points. So... yeah you may have your opinion about this Pokemon I personally don't like the design of this Pokemon. Why am I making this model? Well I am going to have to make it eventually.

 

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Brionne is a skillful dancer that works hard to learn dances it does not know. Furthermore, on silent nights Brionne dance to the singing of Primarina and also if it sees its trainer sad, it will dance in attempt to cheer he or she up. Lastly, while dancing in battle to avoid attacks, it is making balloons to overwhelm its foe.

1. Brionne is based off a sea lion, and performers such as Japanese idols, ballerinas and circus clowns. (see the Pokemon seems to be based off of too many things)

Commentary:

I am neutral about this new Pokemon. The idea is cool and I am exciting to see where quaxly evolves to but I am not a huge bird fan so I am not that big fan of Quaxly. For people saying that this Pokemon looks like Donald Duck you are right. I have to admit now, we have this Pokemon, the entire main disney characters are in Pokemon. Mickey and Minnie Mouse is Emolga, Goofy is Lucario, Donald and Daisy Duck is Quaxly and Pluto looking something like Helioptile. I do have to admit saying this Pokemon's name is quite fun though.

Chibi Popplio

Commentary:

I am going to be completely honest regarding this Pokemon. I don't like it. It is like a combination of a dog, with its floppy ears and face, and a seel. Furthermore, whats with its snout and nose. The snout looks out of place and its nose looks like the one clowns wear...so I'm lost. Maybe if it was not a combination of such random animals combined together I would like it, but IN MY OPINION, I'm not  huge fan of this design

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Popplio snorts body fluid (hehe) and blows balloons in which it smashes into its opponent to deal a lot of damage (I am assuming that is what is at the end of its nose but it still looks like a clown nose).

1. Popplio is known as the sea lion Pokemon, sharing the category with seel and Dewgong

2.Popplio's name is a combination of a sea lion pup (pop in hawaiian) and īlio-holo-i-ka-uaua which is sea lion monk in hawaiian.

Regarding my opinion on this Pokemon, I like it. It is a fire dinosaur that have a hint of looking like an apple (I know we have flapple but the apple reference is not as prominent in this Pokemon). It does have a hint of Gible in it, making this model a little easier to make, I am actually excited to see what this Pokemon final evolution will be. The only thing I don't understand about Fuecoco is why did GameFreak slap a piece of American cheese on Fuecoco's belly. Did it just go to America and took as a souvenir and didn't know were to put it? I don't know but this starter Pokemon looks pretty cool and pretty promising for a pretty cool final evolution

Commentary:

WHEN the shiny is released for Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet remind me to add the pdf for the shiny versions and to flesh out the rest of this post.

I mean in my opinion of this Pokemon, it gives me a Pokemon feel, but it feels like this Pokemon already exists as another type. I could just be feeling deja vu. I also hope that this Pokemon stays on four feet as the quad-pedal Pokemon starter, RECENTLY, seem to turn into bipedal Pokemon by its final stage (Mudkip, Tepig, Litten, Fennekin, and possibly counting Grookie). Also, if this Pokemon does become bipedal please do not make it look like a Gardevoir, Delphox, or Loppunny build... you know what I mean.

Chibi Mega Sceptile

 

Commentary:

It looks like a Christmas tree on its tail. That is all I think about when I think of this Pokemon. I just did a quick search on smogon to see if Mega Sceptile was usable in competitive Pokemon (it isn't as it is in NU tier) I was surprised that its ability is Lightning Rod. Huh? why does it have the ability Lightning Rod it just seems off. Unless, its tail works something like a Christmas tree and can conduct electricity I don't understand its ability.

Notes: This model isn't too difficult, just a lot of pieces. I made the leaves attached to the tail and spikes on its arms 2D with the other pieces being 3D. Chibi Mega Swampert

 

Commentary:

I believe this Pokemon is only good in Rain with its swift swim ability, but besides that, I have no clue about this Pokemon. I have to admit that it is my least favorite hoenn Mega starter. 

Also don't worry about the messed up numbering of 207 and 208 I was orignally going to release them reversed but I forgot I did not have a video for this Pokemon so...oops.

🤷‍♂️. This has no Pokedex entry, but its biology says that its upper body is much stronger than its lower body, and I could think of one of those bulky guys at the gym with chicken legs🤪.

Notes: Well I made this model a little bit ago.. so there is no video for this model. The good thing there is only one difficult part of the model. Once the entire model is completed, the last thing to do is build the back fin. You will need to cut the fin so that it fits snuggly with the body and allow the model to stand. Each model will be different from each other so do your best when trimming the model. Besides that, I hope you enjoy building and stay tune!

Chibi Incineroar

 

Commentary:

The two experiences I have of this Pokemon is when playing against Incineroar in Smash Ultimate and in Showdown. From Smash, I just remember getting beat by my friend who constantly use this Pokemon as I am terrible at Smash. Constantly getting thrown against the ropes and then getting killed by it spiking me with its fiery move. (I believe that it is Incineroar's attack I don't know the name of the attack as I haven't played Smash in awhile). For Showdown, I think I remember always getting a choiced band Incineroar while playing randoms. The only thing I remember is spamming Darkest Lariant and knocking out a few Pokemon. That is all about it.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Incineroar has a violent and selfish deposition when battling and if it is not in the mood of listening to its trainer, it will ignore its trainers command. When battling opponents, it hurls ferociously punches at its opponents and finishes off its opponent by spewing fire up to 3,600 degree Fahrenheit (1982 degrees Celsius) from its navel. Despite is vicious side, Incineroar enjoys helping out smaller Pokemon... aw how cute.

Fun Facts:

1. Incineroar is the only starter Pokemon to have a lower based stat than its pre-evolution. Incineroar's base speed stat is 30 points lower than Torracat and 10 points lower than Litten

2. Incineroar is a combination of a tiger and a wrestler.

Chibi Torracat

 

Commentary:

Why is this not Dark type? I always thought that the second stage of Pokemon gain the second typing, but nope not for this Pokemon. 

Pokedex Entry:

Dang, I thought this section would be easy because this is a Generation 8 Pokemon, but nope it has four different entries. Well here is the summary of the entries. According to the Pokedex, Torracat has a bell of fire at its throat and it rings brightly whenever Torracat spits fire. Furthermore, when facing a powerful enemy, its firebell blazes hotter. Torracat also have powerful front legs that can bend an iron bar with one punch. Its trainer can also reconize when this Pokemon is sick because when the mane is standing on the end you can tell its in a good mood, but when it is not feeling well the fur will lie flat down. The final entry states that it can act spoiled when it becomes close to its trainer and has the ability to leave its trainer's body in scratches.

Notes: This model is very similar to Litten it just has an extra spike on the face of the model. So if you need instructions you can go read those instruction. One thing I forgot to mention is for the tail you can just color the inside of the tail black instead of attach all the tabs to the non-tab section. This will save you a lot of time and something I recommend that you do. Besides that, I hope you enjoy building and stay tune!

Chibi Litten

 

Commentary:

It is a black cat that happens to spit fire. How else am I suppose to describe this Pokemon? It kinda of reminds me of the Deja Vu cat in the Matrix. Also, I really like the shiny version of this Pokemon as the black parts of the body turns pale white.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, in its downtime, Litten grooms itself and its fur gathers in its stomach and serves as fuel for its fiery moves. Furthermore, it is known that it takes awhile for a trainer to gain its trust. If one attempts to pet it prior to gaining its trust, it will result in nasty scratches. A cool entry that the Pokedex provides is that Litten's fur regrows twice a year. When the time comes, it sets itself on fire and burns the old coat. Pretty cool concept in my opinion as it is a nifty way for Litten to deal with the shedding of its fur.

1. Litten is based off of the tiger cat known as the mackeral tabbies

Chibi Ash Greninja

Commentary:

I will have to admit this Pokemon looks pretty cool, but that is about it. For the guy who has waited a year for this model, I respect you for waiting this long and thank you😅.

Fun Fact:

1. Ash Greninja evolved from Greninja due to its strong bond to Ash (something similiar to Mega Evolution).

Chibi Turtwig

 

Commentary:

This was my first ever starter, so I am pretty sure you can guess that I have a soft side for this Pokemon. It is the best SINNOH starter...my opinion. I do remember being extremely happy when I got a three star Shiny Turtwig on its community day, but that the extent of experience I have with this Pokemon.

With the release of this model I have remade all the initial Pokemon papercrafts that got me into this art form so that is cool

Fun Facts

1. It is the best Sinnoh Starter🤪

2. It is in the Monster and Grass egg group

3. It has the lowest base speed out of all the starter Pokemon

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Turtwig performs photosynthesis to feed itself. Furthermore, the shell on its back hardens when it drinks water and a healthy Turtwig has a moist shell. Lastly, if the leaf on its head wilts, it means that Turtwig is thirsty. So basically, Turtwig is a plant. Also, what is with a lot of grass starters being able to perform photosynthesis... I mean it sort of makes sense since it is a grass type, but still.

Chibi Serperior

Commentary: 

I love this Pokemon's hidden ability: Contrary (in combination with leaf storm). I never actually got my heads on one of these Pokemon in the main series, but the amount of times I was able to sweep with Serperior in showdown is quite a lot. I would run leaf storm, dragon pulse, hidden power fire and leech seed. I do not know how viably competitive this set would work, but it would work miracles against my friends and at the end of the day that is all that matters.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the pokedex, Serperior can stops its opponents with just a glare, and only gives its best effort to opponents that are not fazed by its glare. I kind of wonder what it glare is to be so intimidating? Furthermore, Serperior takes in solar energy to boost itself internally. What?!? so it goes from Snivy able to use photosynthesis to Servine not being able to photosynthesis to Serperior being able to use solar energy (maybe like a solar panel). I do not understand that one.

Chibi Servine

Commentary:

I do not know why but I feel like I used this middle stage Pokemon more than any other one. Maybe because it seemed half usable🤷‍♂️. I don't know, I just remember a lot of Leech Seeds and Leaf Tornados were spammed when using Servine and that I was able to comfortably sweep Clay's team with this Pokemon in both Unova games.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, moves along the ground as if it was sliding. It befuddles its foes and it then attacks with a vine whip. Furthermore, when it evolves into Servine it loses its ability to photosynthesize as thus always keeps itself clean. I do not how photosynthesis relates to cleanliness, but I am not a plant so who knows.

Chibi Snivy

Commentary:

This is my favorite Unova start out of the three. It just has this arrogant look that gives it an edge over the other typically cute look and I love it. I did have a problem beating Chili in Pokemon Black because I did not know I could get a free Panpour to beat him😅. After getting constantly beaten by Chili, how did I beat him? Well, I just started talking to everyone I possibly could and I eventually got the free Panpour and beat Chili. Pretty anti-climatic, but I did beat Chili on my first try after I got Panpour. Also, those yellow things coming off its back are suppose to resemble leaves or wings. Wings did Snivy have natural selection and be able to fly? Or is it in the process of natural selection?

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Snivy can photosynthesize by bathing their tails in the Sunlight. Well, I guess like Rowlet, another grass starter animal has the ability to photosynthesize🌻 which I still find quite unusual. Furthermore, Snivy can move swifter after being exposed to sunlight and can use its vines better than its hands.

Chibi Feraligatr

Commentary:

I'm surprised that Feraligtr evolves so early at level 30. I remember I was climbing the light house to get to the Ampharados in Soulsilver and after a battle Croconaw began evolving. I was completely surprised as I knew that Typhlosion evolved, so I thought the game was making a mistake, but no Croconaw evolved at level 30. I do have to admit, out of the Johto starters, Feraligtr, in my opinion, is the best as it gets great type cover in game as it can naturally learn crunch, ice fang, superpower and aqua tail, and has a cool shiny to go along with it. Side note, one of my first run-throughs of Soulsilver, it somehow managed to survive Lt. Surge's Raichu thunderbolt on six hp while being five levels lower than Raichu. Don't know how but it did. 

Pokedex Entry:

Well, Feraligtr has some intimidating Pokedex entries. According to the pokedex, to intimidate its foes by opening its mouth, followed by kicking its POWERFUL hind legs to charge at an incredible speed. Furthermore, when it bites its opponents with its massive jaw, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up. Alright quite an intimidating Pokemon. What I do not understand is that according to the original Pokemon Silver entry, Feraligtr has a problem supporting its own weight out of water and thus it must get down on all fours. Two things. One, unless I am mistaken, I have never seen a sprite of Feraligtr on all-fours as it normally stands on its two hind legs. Secondly, I thought that Feraligtr has powerful hind legs. I mean it is specifically stated in its entry. I guess not powerful enough to stand on then.

One thing not to clear in the video is for the teeth, I just took scrap paper and cut triangles out of to make the teeth. I then glued the teeth in the general location in which they are supposed to be located at. The option is there to make the teeth 3D but making it 2D just saves more time. Chibi Blaziken

Commentary:

Speed Boost Blaziken. I have swept many people on showdown with this Pokemon. Interesting fact, Blaziken practices Martial Arts. Did not think that forms like these would exist in the Pokemon Universe, but hey they do.

Pokedex Entry:

According to the Pokedex, Blaziken flames comes out of with its wrist and its fiery punches scorches its foes. Okay make sense. What I did not expect as that Blaziken had the ability to jump over 30 story buildings. HUH?! Blaziken does not look like it has the capability to do that, but hey it is a fantasy game so I guess anything is possible.

Chibi Croconaw

 

Commentary:

It died to Whitney's Miltank😡. If you don't understand go read Totodile's entry. It's shiny looks cool though.

Pokedex Entry: 

I like this Croconaw's entry. It only has one in all its game. According to the pokedex, when Croconaw bites down, it will not let go until it loses its fang. A new fang will quickly grow in its space. Pretty cool😃.

Something that may be unclear in the video is that for the fangs I just cut some scrap paper into triangles and glued them in the general locations of the fang. There is the option to make the fangs 3D there is the option to, but I'm lazy😎. Also, for the red spikes I did not use the tabs but rather cut out the designated spike and glued and folded along the line of symmetry. Besides that I hope you enjoy building and stay tuned!

Chibi Marshtomp

 

Commentary:

I always forget Marshtomp is ground type. I know that Swampert is a ground type and Mudkip is not, but Marshtomp is in between so I always forget. I have no funny or interesting story to tell about Marshtomp, since it is a middle evolution, so I thought I try to find a cool set on Smogon. Yeah, there is nothing posted for Marhstomp regarding movesets, so instead, a cool fact though is that takes about 5140 to 5396 steps for Marshtomp hatch time. I'll let you sit on that... 

Pokedex Entry:

Here me out, Marshtomp is Pokemon's equivalent of a pig, but as a water type. According to the Pokedex, Marshtomps lives in muddy grounds, like pigs, and enjoys play in mud, like pigs but, on beaches when the ocean tide is low. It plays in mud so much that its legs have adjusted to become sturdy in this substance as well as giving Marshtomp the ability to travel faster in mud that it is at swimming. Furthermore, it burrows deep in the mud to sleep. So basically, my only claim that Marshtomp is a pig is that it lives and enjoys playing in mud, but I am sticking to it.

Notes: This model is straightforward to build. Build the model head down. The only suggestion I have is to use the tail to help the model to stand by itself. Besides that, I hope you enjoy building and stay tuned!
